How does ultra filtration work ?

UF system is a membrane process between microfiltration and nanofiltration, with membrane pore sizes ranging from 0.05um to 1nm.
Ultrafiltration is a technology of membrane separation that can purify, separate and shrink the solution. The ultrafiltration water system is a screening process related to the membrane pore size.
With the different pressure on both sides of the membrane as the driving force and the super membrane as the filtering medium, under the certain pressure, when the water flows over the membrane surface, only water and small molecules smaller than the membrane aperture are allowed to pass through, so as to achieve the purpose of separation and concentration.

SD Ultrafiltration Water Treatment

As ultrafiltration system manufacturer, the retention characteristics of the SD ultrafilter membrane is characterized by the molecular weight of the standard organic matter, usually the molecular weight of the interception range of 1000~ 300,000, SD ultrafiltration membrane can separate large molecular organic matter (such as protein, bacteria), colloids, suspended solids, etc, and all the parts of ultra filtration unit can be customizable.

THE TYPES OF ULTRAFILTRATION WATER SYSTEM

Hollow Fiber Ultrafiltration

In this configuration, hollow fiber membranes are used, typically in a bundle. Feed liquid is passed through the lumen of the fibers, and the purified permeate is collected outside the fibers. This system is very common in wastewater treatment.

Spiral-Wound Ultrafiltration

In spiral-wound systems, flat-sheet ultrafiltration membranes are spirally wound around a central tube. The feed liquid flows parallel to the membrane surface, and purified liquid is collected as permeate. These systems are commonly apply for industrial processes.

Tubular Ultrafiltration

Tubular ultrafiltration systems utilize tubular membranes. Feed liquid flows through the inside of the tubes, while purified liquid is collected from the tube's exterior. These systems are used in where high solids loading or viscous feeds are common.

Skid-mounted Ultrafiltration Systems

Complete, pre-fabricated units that include ultrafiltration modules, pumps, controls, and other necessary components. They are designed for convenient and easy installation and are commonly apply for industrial processes and wastewater treatment plants.

WHAT THE ADVANTAGES OF ULTRAFILTRATION WATER SYSTEM?

Size-Based Filtration

Ultrafiltration is a size-exclusion process that can effectively remove particles and molecules based on their size and molecular weight. It is particularly useful for removing macromolecules, colloids, and suspended solids from a liquid or wastewater stream.
