WHAT’S THE MEMBRANE BIOREACTOR PROCESS?

1.Biological Treatment

In the biological treatment phase, wastewater enters a specialized reactor, where microorganisms engage in biological processes to decompose organic pollutants.

2. Membrane Filtration

A membrane, typically made of polymers, is used to separate treated water from solids, bacteria, and other impurities. The membrane acts as a physical barrier.

3.Solid-Liquid Separation

The membrane selectively allows clean water to pass through while retaining suspended solids, microorganisms, and other contaminants.

4. Permeate Collection

Permeate Collection involves gathering the treated water that has passed through the membrane, referred to as permeate, for subsequent utilization or discharge.

5. Sludge Retention

The sludge, consisting of concentrated solids and microorganisms, is retained within the reactor.

6.Aeration

Aeration systems provide oxygen to support the biological treatment process and enhance the breakdown of organic matter by microorganisms.

7.Continuous Operation

The MBR system operates continuously, maintaining a high level of treatment efficiency.
